Cherry 'Stella' blossom - Prunus flowers

The flowers of cherry are very simple, and maybe that is why they are so special - looking at these you can imagine why people would travel a long way to admire them.

This is a small root stocked cherry in our fruit cage - it is still very young, but we have had a good, albeit small, bowl of fruits from it for two years now. Unless you net or cage it however, only the birds will get the fruit, they do not mid whether it is ripe or not.
