Choisya ternata 'Sundance' (Yellow leafed choisya)
Foliage (2009)
This yellow leafed choisya grows now at the base of our 'millennium' silver birch, with whcih it shares a space quite happily. Now the flowers are over(and what a wonderful perfume that was), the leaves are shining beautifully in the dappled shade of the birch.
Luckily, as with many of the flowers here, it never has read the books written by the experts, because in its early years it sat in an open bed in full sunshine, which all the books tell us is bad for it as the leaves scorch and don't achieve their full colour. Well, they didn't scorch nor fail to be yellow, but anyway it likes it companion now, the colours complimenting each other very well.
